Yew Caryn

Caryn graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from University of Reading, United Kingdom in 2017 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court in Malaya in 2022.

During her pupillage, Caryn handled transactional documentation and processes for sale and purchase of properties by various reputable property developers in Malaysia. Caryn assisted in communicating and liaising with the relevant parties involved in the sale and purchase transaction ie. the developers, banks as well as the respective purchasers. Apart from that, Caryn was also responsible for reviewing and highlighting important clauses in the agreements to ensure the best interest of the parties are protected.

At Tay Chambers, Caryn’s primarily focus is on auction matters whereby Caryn possesses in-depth knowledge in handling court auctions, land office auctions and private auctions involving complicated legal issues. Caryn also handles drafting, negotiation and review of tenancy agreements as well as sale and purchase transaction from developers. In addition, Caryn is also well versed with the preparation of loan documentations for multiple financiers ranging from personal housing loan to corporate financing.
