Nurul Airin Mohd Affendi Low (Irene)

Irene graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Multimedia University of Malaysia (MMU) in October 2024 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in March 2026. She completed her pupillage at our firm as the firm’s very first pupil under the guidance of our Managing Partner, Mr. Tay Hongyi with close mentorship from our Partner, Ms. Cassandra Quek, and our Consultant, Ms. Amy Law.

During her pupillage, Irene gained broad exposure and practical experience in both civil and criminal litigation. She assisted in various contentious matters including narcotics (drugs) and serious criminal offences, fraud and criminal breach of trust (CBT), family and matrimonial proceedings (divorce, custody, adoption, and guardianship), probate and estate administration, as well as immigration and traffic-related offences.

Committed to delivering meaningful outcomes, Irene strives to provide practical legal solutions tailored to each client’s circumstances, guided by her belief that: ‘Every case carries a story and every story deserves to be heard and fought for’.

At Tay Chambers, Irene will continue to expand her skills in litigation practice and to explore other areas of criminal and civil litigation.
