Prior to joining Tay Chambers, Glady was an In-House Lawyer at a Global Health Asia-Pacific awarded tertiary hospital, with a presence in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Leading the Legal Unit, Glady managed legal matters across 50 departments, including Finance, Business Development, Human Resources, Procurement and Quality Assurance. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Glady was instrumental in initiating teleconsultation policies and developing a Legal Dispute Resolution procedure to effectively handle medical issues. To increase legal awareness among healthcare professionals, Glady conducted training and facilitated corporate governance projects, including anti-corruption, whistleblowing, personal data protection, patient safety and employment matters. Her dedication to the healthcare industry led to her nomination as a Top 5 Finalist for both the “In-House Lawyer of the Year” at the Asian Legal Business (ALB) Malaysia Law Awards 2023 and the “Young Lawyer of the Year (In-House)” at the ALB Southeast Asia Law Awards 2023 by Thomson Reuters.

Glady began her legal career as a Litigation Lawyer, conducting trials at all levels of Malaysian courts on construction issues, contractual disputes, winding-up, injunctions, copyright infringement, debt recovery and tortious actions, including medical negligence and defamation. Her diverse legal knowledge and dispute resolution skills now enable her to strategize and provide effective legal tactics to corporate clients, focusing on prompt and alternative dispute resolution methods (such as negotiation and mediation) to minimize the need for court proceedings.

Synergising her experience as a Litigation Lawyer, Corporate In-House Lawyer and Accredited Mediator (Malaysia International Mediation Centre and ADR Group, United Kingdom), Glady’s works at Tay Chambers focus on Corporate and Commercial (Advisory & Dispute Resolution) practice.

At Tay Chambers, Glady specializes in advising clients on complex commercial transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, due diligence, shares sale, joint venture, trust, franchises, licensing and distributorship across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and United Kingdom. She assists clients in drafting of shareholders and partnership agreements, shares sale agreement, employment and domestic inquiry policies, construction-related agreements and trading documents. Additionally, Glady provides critical analysis on strategic shareholder planning, corporate restructuring, employee share option scheme (ESOS), trademark, crowdfunding and investment schemes from a legal perspective, empowering clients to navigate complexities with confidence and ensuring clients are always a step ahead in achieving their business goals.
